3D LASER SCANNING OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES AND MONUMENTS Print E-mail

 

  • (2004) 3D Laser scanning of the archaeological excavations area in Ilida and land survey of the whole archaeological site. The result of this survey was the creation of an orthophotomap of the whole area, facades, crossections and 3D photorealistic models of various monuments. The project was funded by the Greek Ministry of Culture.

 

  • (2004) 3D Laser scanning of Agios Sozomenos, Agios Ilarionas, Agia Paraskeyi, Agios Mammas and Agios Ilarionas churches in Cyprus. The project was funded by the department of Antiquities of the Ministry of Transportation and Public Works. Scope of the project was the creation of planimmetry facades, crossections and 3D photorealistic models for the survey and documentation of the monuments.

 

  • (2007) Laser scanning – 3D modeling and texturing of the rock and walls of Acropolis Athens maybe the most famous monument of Ancient Greece. The project was granted from YSMA the organization managing the maintenance of Acropolis Athens.

 

  • (2014) 3D Laser scanning of Makinia Archaelogical Site and creation of detailed orthophoto and 3D surface model. It has been assigned from “TERNA S.A.” Construction Company. Purpose of the the project was the documentation and preservation of the Archaeological site as Ionian Odos Highway passes over it.
