OCEAN THUMB 2The Company in the frame of its main activity in marine applications has gathered vast experience in coordinating and carrying out of any applied oceanographic and geophysical study for the construction of underwater works.
Undertaking relevant types of inshore and offshore surveys from early 90s, mainly for submarine power and telecommunication cable and pipeline laying, has gathered immense know how on this subject, while it holds full equipment and means to conduct such studies in any marine environment.

In order to be able to perform offshore studies with speed and always using the most modern equipment, the Company has entered into a strategic alliance which is active since the early '90s with the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR). As a result, in any relevant offshore survey uses the only fully capable oceanographic ship available in Greek seas, the Research Vessel Aegaeo.  This ship carries the most modern geophysical instruments capable to operate at depths that ensure full coverage of the Greek seas and beyond them and skilled and qualified personnel for any marine geophysical project.

For inshore surveys Company holds its own research vessel (R/V Orion) with integrated hull mounted MBES (Multi Beam Echo Sounder). This instrument combined with the integrated GNSS/INS, ensures the possibility of continuous and accurate hydrographic surveying of extensive areas covering the specific requirements of accuracy of any marine application. The characteristics of this equipment provide the capability for a bathymetric surveying of greater scale than the standard inshore survey, covering a very wide range of offshore hydrographic surveys.

R/V Orion carries a 330 horsepower engine and as a result has the ability to move independently in any region in the Greek Seas. At the same time is designed to be transferred through towing truck on highways which has as a result to be able to be transferred anywhere in Greece or abroad.
In order to ensure a comfortable stay of a comprehensive geophysical crew that carries out an inshore or even small and medium-scale offshore geophysical survey, the vessel has the necessary facilities and equipment (eg 9.5KVA Generator, P/C Network) since it has been designed especially for this purpose.

OCEAN THUMB 1The Company also holds all the necessary geophysical equipment to meet the requirements of inshore surveys. It also cooperates with the HCMR for special application requirements.
Finally cooperates with diving crew and has the necessary equipment to carry out underwater inspections, underwater video recordings, and geophysical observations for the needs of the surveys.
