3D Laser Scanning in technical projects and constructions is one of the subjects of interest of the Company.
In this context is one of the first companies that applied this technique for 3D laser scanning of tunnels. This method is extremely effective for monitoring the work progress during tunnel construction by capturing the various phases of construction and finally for the inspection of the "as built" results by the end of construction.
The Company also used this technique for sequential scanning of the surfaces formed during excavation works for the automated calculation of the excavated volume.
It has also used this technique for the 3D scan of vessels. This is an interesting subject since it is a fast method of capturing the geometric of vessel surfaces (such as the hull) to implement modifications or check the correct geometry of the surface.

After the three-dimensional scanning is possible to create cross sections in any direction, which facilitates the design of naval architects of the geometry of surfaces in order to impose interventions or other actions.
